I build software solo. Right now, I'm building a way to keep a voice from being forgotten.

No Filter Software is a one-person studio. This page used to be about the apps I've shipped — now it's mostly about the one that actually matters to me.

VoiceForEternity

Record a loved one's voice and stories. Scan a QR code, hear them again — anywhere, for as long as it matters.

a quieter thing I built

A place to keep someone's actual voice, not just their photo.

VoiceForEternity lets a family record a loved one's stories, memories, and messages — right from a phone or a browser, no equipment needed. It gets tied to a simple QR code that can go on a headstone, an urn, a memorial garden marker, or just a link shared in an obituary.

Anyone who scans it hears that person again. Not a summary of who they were — their actual voice, telling it themselves.

Guided, if you need it

48 prompts across six categories walk someone through recording a full life story, one question at a time.

Works over the phone

No app, no account — call a number and leave a memory. Built for relatives who'd never open an app.

Owned, not rented

One price, no subscription. A 25-year permanence commitment, and everything downloadable anytime.

I had her pictures. I didn't have her voice.

When my mom passed away, I went looking for the things I had left of her. Photos, mostly. A few letters. What I didn't have — what I hadn't even thought to save — was a single recording of her voice. No voicemail, no clip of her telling a story, nothing I could actually hear again.

I'd spent years before that working in telecom support, and I knew from that job that this wasn't rare. People would call in devastated because a phone broke or an account closed and with it went the last recording they had of someone they loved. It's one of the most common losses nobody plans for — and there was never a good way to prevent it ahead of time.

VoiceForEternity is my attempt to fix that, on purpose, before it happens to someone else the way it happened to me. It started as a simple idea — record a voice, attach it to a QR code — and it's grown into a real platform, but the reason for building it hasn't changed.

One dev. One Mac Mini. Whatever's worth building.

No Filter Software is my solo studio, based in Fresno, CA. I've shipped a few smaller apps over the years — a rhythm game, a password manager, a note-writing app — design, development, and launch, all handled myself.

VoiceForEternity is the first thing I've built that felt like more than a side project. It's what I'm spending my time on now — but this studio doesn't stop there. No Filter Software is the thing that stays after any one app doesn't.
